Store Policies
At Cowboys Armory, we’re committed to upholding not only top-tier service but also strict adherence to federal, state, and local firearm laws. Please review our store policies before making a purchase, transfer, or service request. These guidelines ensure a smooth, legal, and responsible experience for everyone.
FIREARM SALES POLICY ⟶
- All firearm sales require a valid, government-issued photo ID.
- You must be 21 or older to purchase a handgun, and 18 or older for rifles or shotguns in Texas.
- A background check is required unless you present a valid Texas License to Carry (LTC).
- We reserve the right to refuse a sale to any individual who does not meet legal or safety standards.
- Cowboys Armory accepts FFL transfers from online retailers or other gun shops.
- Have the seller send their FFL to: CowboysArmory@gmail.com along with your name and contact info.
- Contact us for our FFL transfer fee.
- You must complete a 4473 background check and present a valid ID to receive the firearm.
- We’ll notify you as soon as your firearm arrives and is ready for pickup.

GUNSMITHING & CUSTOM WORK POLICY ⟶
- All firearms brought in for service must be unloaded and cased.
- A 50% deposit may be required for certain custom builds or Cerakote jobs.
- We are not liable for malfunctions caused by aftermarket or incompatible parts not sourced through Cowboys Armory.
- Turnaround time varies by project — we’ll provide estimates at drop-off.
- Firearms, ammunition, and serialized parts are final sale — no returns or exchanges, per federal law.
- Non-serialized accessories (holsters, optics, belts, etc.) may be exchanged or returned within 14 days if unused and in original packaging.
- No refunds on special orders, labor, Cerakote, or gunsmithing once work has begun.

- Firearms should always be transported unloaded and cased when visiting our store.
- All customers are expected to follow safe handling practices while on the premises.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone acting irresponsibly, unsafely, or in violation of any laws.

- We operate in full compliance with ATF regulations, Texas state law, and local ordinances.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to know and understand firearm laws in their jurisdiction.
- We do not sell or transfer firearms or accessories to prohibited persons.
